The title for director J.J. Abrams' Star Trek 2 has reportedly been revealed.
With production wrapped months ago, the famed director has kept most of the details of his Star Trek sequel a secret. That hasn't stopped anyone, fans, press and pundits from trying to find out details about the film's plot. No one knows who Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing as the villain, but now, one key element has been revealed.
The official film will be titled Star Trek Into Darkness.
Paramount has been rumored by countless sources on the Internet to be testing different titles, including one that didn't even have Star Trek in the title, and now all those sources are indicating that Into Darkness as the official title.

While the title doesn't offer any real details, it does correspond to statements made by Chris Pine that the intensity and threats to the Enterprise Crew will be much greater in the sequel. It now seems likely that an official trailer is imminent and will likely be attached to one of the big Paramount films such as Flight with Denzel Washington or Jack Reacher with Tom Cruise.
Star Trek Into Darkness officially comes to theaters on May 17, 2013.
