Stephon Marbury Takes Shots Back at Jay-Z

Stephon Marbury Takes Shots Back at Jay-Z

Posted September 23, 2009

It may have taken a while for him to get mad, but basketball free agent Stephon Marbury isn't apologizing for coming at Jay-Z for a verse the rapper spit six years ago.

Marbury was recently captured in another one of his eccentric YouTube videos, responding to Jay-Z's 2003 single, "La, La, La" where the rapper said, "Don't confuse me with Marbury out this bitch/run up on me at the light, you could lose your life."

"You ain't gonna kill nobody," Marbury said while seated in the backseat of a car. "You was not doing no life sentence in jail for the rest of your life. Let's stop that, stop tricking people. Stop making people believe that. That's foolishness, that's exactly what that is. You know you not shooting and killing nobody."

Jay's swipe came after Marbury was robbed of a 24-inch diamond necklace worth $150,000 while sitting in his Bentley back in 2000.

"Whatchu gonna do, go run?" Marbury continued. "Where you gonna run, where you gonna run from? Everybody know you, they see your face, they know you. 'That's the camel, he right over there'."

Jay-Z has yet to respond. -Linda Hobbs
