Coachella Tupac paved the way for the hologram trend lighting up the the stage in 2012, including a Nate Dogg projection and possible ODB and Eazy E holograms at this year’s Rock the Bells music festival.

But the 3D image formed by light beams isn’t strictly prohibited to hip-hop artists. TMZ reports that a hologram of the late tech genius Steve Jobs may be under construction.

Tim Cook, who took over as Apple CEO after Jobs’ death in 2011, didn’t deny the possibility. When asked if he could ever imagine a virtual Steve Jobs at the next big Apple event, he responded with a smirk on his face, “I can’t comment on that.”

Until then, folks will have to settle for a Jobs imitation. Ashton Kutcher played the Apple guru in the indie bio-pic jOBS, which closed out the Sundance Film Festival in January.

The 35-year-old actor spoke on channeling the e-god by referencing old words of wisdom. “There was this one speech that I found where he said, ‘So when you grow up, if you spend your life trying not to bounce into walls, just inheriting what you get, you gotta know your life can be a lot broader than that.” Kutcher described in an interview with the LA Times. “Once you realize one simple thing: Everything around you that you call life was made by people who are no smarter than you. And you can change it. You can influence it. You can build your own things that other people can use.”
