Stevie Wonder, Wyclef And Janelle Monáe To Celebrate United Nations' 67 Anniversary On Centric

Christopher Harris Posted February 21, 2013

Stevie Wonder and BET are bringing the United Nations' 67th anniversary musical celebration to the small screen.

The network is airing last year's "Stevie Wonder with Friends: Celebrating a Message of Peace" concert on Centric on Saturday (Feb. 23). The Malcolm Jamal Warner-hosted ceremony, which took place October 24, 2012, featured performances by artists known for their humanitarian efforts. Sting, Janelle Monáe and Wyclef Jean were among the musical guests.

“We are honored to celebrate all the amazing work the United Nations does around the globe,” said Debra Lee, CEO & Chairman of BET Networks. “Beyond his incredible music career, Stevie Wonder has consistently used his voice to create a better and more peaceful world.”

"Stevie Wonder with Friends: Celebrating a Message of Peace," will air on Feb. 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. BET will air the concert the following weekend, on Sunday, March 3, at 11 a.m. ET. --Christopher Harris
