Following the Aug. 23 shooting at the 1Oak nightclub in West Hollywood, Suge Knight was back at home Wednesday (Aug. 27), the New York Daily News reports.
Knight's friend, Keith Middlebrook, tells NYDN that Knight went straight home after being dispatched from L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai hospital, where he underwent surgery for six gunshot wounds. Officials believe the Death Row Records founder was the intended target of the shooting. As Page Six notes, a possible motive was to prevent him from releasing a tell-all memoir.
Police officials say they are looking into several "people of interest" in the shooting, which took place during a pre-VMA party hosted by Chris Brown. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. John Corina, several individuals that police were in talks with were affiliated with the rival Bloods and Crips street gangs while others had no gang ties.
