Supermarket Gets Shipped Drugs Instead Of Bananas

Danish supermarket chain Coop expected bananas from their Colombian supplier and instead received a heavy shipment containing bags of white powder

The drugs were discovered last week in Aarhus, western Denmark, while employees were opening banana boxes. They found about 100 kilograms (220 pounds) of what police believe is cocaine, Reuters reports.

Coop spokesman Jens Juul said more bags of white powder were found Wednesday (June 12) in a separate shipment to a central dispatch facility in suburban Copenhagen.

No arrests have been made but Juul has contacted their South American supplier to make sense of the special delivery. Now that’s bananas.
