Earlier this week, Swizz Beatz attended the #Hope4Children Gala in New York, where he helped raise $1.5 million.

The fundraiser was hosted at the American Museum of Natural History and featured artwork created by Bronx Charter School for the Arts students.

Swizz also discussed what led him to support the Bronx school. “The relationship started through a mutual friend that knew that I was into arts of course, knew that I was from the South Bronx of course,” he said.” “To make a long story short, I came to research the school, the energy was amazing, the kids are super talented and more than anything, I’m like man, I could’ve been in there, it could’ve been me. It could be my kids.”
