Sylvester Stallone Accused of Abusing His Half-Sister

Terry Carter Posted January 24, 2013

Sylvester Stallone is back in the news, but this time it's because of his family drama. The 66 year old actor is being accused of abusing his half sister Toni-Ann Filiti, years ago. She died last year in August due to lung cancer. The New York Post obtained documents that show Mr. Stallone agreed to pay Filiti 12 million dollars plus an additional $16,666.66 per month. On top of that, the reports show that his half sister was receiving $50,000 per year to pay for her medical and psychiatric expenses she suffered due to the abuse.

A rep for the Rocky star only commented on the allegations by saying “Unfortunately, celebrities, politicians and athletes frequently find themselves the targets of blackmail efforts by family members and associates who fabricate claims in order to extort payments from them.”

Filiti's mother, Jaqueline Stallone is not buying those claims of black mail though. She told The New York Post "This was nothing more than a shakedown. There were too many conflicting stories . . . At the time he was very hot, and his lawyers said, ‘Give her something just to shut her up." Also fighting back against the black mail claims is Filiti's 19 year old son Edd. Edd says that his mother was the black sheep in the family and she told him stories about the abuse she suffered from her half brother, Stallone.

Edd's relationship with his uncle had been rocky for some time now. Last year in July, Edd took to his Facebook page to accuse Stallone of neglecting his son, Sage Stallone shortly before his death. He later backtracked his statements, telling The New York Post that he made a mistake and "never meant to insult" his uncle.
