“All I Do Is Win” (Feat. T-Pain, Ludacris, Rick Ross and Snoop Dogg)

Khaled says: I’m always in the studio with T-Pain; I think he’s a musical genius for real. Even if he’s not singing on one of my records, I’ll always ask him to write hooks. He takes my energy and words and puts melodies to them.

When we did the record, Pain was in the studio with like 20 of his people, pornos on the screens [laughs], all kind of crazy shit going on. He was in there working on other stuff—trying to show me his cartoon and all these other things. But I had to let him know I’m not here for that. I stopped what he was doing—I couldn’t take it no more and said, “We gotta make this fucking hit!” He had me waiting for months, and this is my friend! I straight up said to him “We gotta fucking win, we gotta win man.”

I played him the beat and he said, “Khaled talk to me” and he just started singing “All I gotta do is win, win, win.” After that, he came up with the “Hands go up!” part, which I knew was going to work because it was getting the listeners involved. I knew it was a smash from the jump.

Ludacris was the first rapper to get on that one. All the verses came in a day after each other, it was the last record I made on the album. “Put Your Hands Up” was originally going to be the first single, but I decided to put them out almost at the same time because in this day and age, it’s all about keeping the streets fed.
