If you haven't seen the filmmaker's 2010 dramatic sci-fi smash, Monsters, you might want to stream it on your Netflix now. Don't say we didn't warn you!
While there is little to know about Gareth Edwards' Godzilla reboot, it appears that there is plenty to show. Let the above picture serve as a notice to those sleeping on the British film director's skill. As production continues in Vancouver, British Columbia, Edwards seems to have found a way to humanize the tale of the marauding nuclear monster and view it through the eyes of people involved.
Our guess is this is what happens to your location when you turn your back on star Bryan Cranston, or ask him about the finale to AMC's Breaking Bad. He is the one who crashes things over and uses his radioactive breath.
If you'll recall Gareth Edwards' greetings from the set, there will no doubt be lots more chaos to come in the months ahead, particularly when the VFX bods have put the final touches to enough footage of the central figure to give us all a loud roar. Kick-Ass 2's Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, David Strathairn, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins also star in the monster pic.
Godzilla crashes into cinemas around the globe on May 16, 2014.
