Terrell Owens Tells Jets He's "Available"

Free agent Terrell Owens wants a team to call his own.

After watching the New York Jets' loss Monday night against the Houston Texans, the controversial sports star issued a proposal to Gang Green on Twitter, the Washington Post reports.

Owens has not been on the field since his three-week stint with the Seattle Seahawks in August. With Santonio Holmes chucking the deuces to the season last Monday and Clyde Gates out with a shoulder injury, the team could use some manpower.

When asked about Owens' offer, Coach Rex Ryan said, ”You never say never to anything. You look at your situation. I would assume we’d go with the same crew.”
