Terrence J is putting the mic down and his pen to work for a new book.
The E! news anchor/ actor is adding author to his resume after announcing a new book deal with HarperCollins' It Books. His first literary work is titled The Wealth of My Mother's Wisdom due September.
Terrence says it was his mother's wisdom and role in the Steve Harvey dramedy Think Like A Man -- a mama's boy -- that inspired him to take on the role of scribe.
"During the process of playing the mama's boy in Think Like a Man, I took an in-depth look at my own mother and her extraordinary journey of raising me while still a teenager herself," Jenkins said on E! News. "I know that many of the successful moments in my life, personally and professionally, have been in part because of the lessons that she taught me, and I am proud to share her words of wisdom to inspire others."
The 30-year-old gathered a collection of anecdotes and lessons from his mother for the book but says it's an ode to all moms. He says, "Hopefully it will inspire anyone that's going through something."
