106 & Park’s Terrence J has the acting bug, and for a newbie his spark is already beginning to light a bigger fire. He made his first big screen appearance last November in Burlesque. But we’ll see him flex his chops as part of the cult hit, The Game. Terrance spoke to VIBE and dropped some gems about what it was like to work with the cast. Plus gave us details on his on screen romance with Game cast member Wendy Raquel Robinson. ⎯ Storm
On working with The Game cast:
Terrance J: The cast was very welcoming, really sweet people, really professional people. Whenever you get the opportunity to do something that you’ve been dreaming about for years, it’s just an amazing experience. I’ve been watching the show since it’s been on the CW and to now have the opportunity to be a part of the cast is truly a dream come true. I feel very blessed and very honored and I’m really excited that people seem to be liking the show right now.
On his character:
It was almost too much of me in the character from like I said dating an older woman to dealing with the issues of the dynamics between the two of them. I’ve been through that a lot in real life so it was a lot of fun to play that character. They say art imitates life and I felt like I was living my real life.
On his older woman on-screen romance:
There’s a really interesting arc with me and Wendy’s character and you are going to see like an Ashton Kutcher/Demi Moore relationship. My character’s really strong and if you saw in the first episode I don’t really take any mess from her and I’m in a position where I can kind of⎯ even though I’m younger than her⎯ I’m a little bit more mature than her in some ways so you going to watch that play out through the series. [Wendy] is the most incredible actress and was so sweet and we have a lot of chemistry and I hope the fans really appreciate it.
