Tiger Woods isn't the only one "sorry" for his cheating--so is one of his alleged mistresses.
Jamiee Grubbs made a Wednesday appearance on the television show Extra where she apologized to Woods wife, Elin Nordegren, for getting caught up with Nordegren's husband.
"I couldn't describe how remorseful that I am to have hurt her family and her emotionally," Grubbs said. "If it wasn't me, it was going to be other girls. ...I did care about him--I didn't do it for superficial reasons. I didn't do it to purposely hurt her."
She went on to say that hearing about Woods other sidepieces, "was devastating. It hurts."
Grubbs spent 31-months with the golfer. The California cocktail waitress provided voicemail messages to Us Weekly, exposing the depth of Woods and her relationship. The leakage prompted an apology from the golfer.
"I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone," he wrote.
"Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives... I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."
"I am sorry that everything is coming out and happening the way it did," Grubbs told Extra, "but I needed to get everything off my chest." --Linda Hobbs
