If you are drawing up a list of where you think Tim Tebow is headed next, go ahead and cross “Miami Dolphins” off.
Buzz surrounding Tebow’s future with the Dolphins began after famed agent Drew Rosenhaus told a Miami radio station that the teams owner Stephen Ross was a longtime fan of Tebow’s, and that he would not be surprised if he landed in Miami next season. Looks like that is not in the cards for the NFL star.
An insider for the Miami Dolphins spoke with the Miami Herald to lay to rest the rumors of Tebow joining the team, deeming the notion “totally untrue.” The former New York Jet (he was officially released from the team this week) now wanders adrift a slew of predictions of what his next move will be, but the Dolphins have confirmed that their “quarterback situation is set.”
Tebow, the former first-round pick for the Broncos, did not have a shining season with the New York team, putting him in the compromising position of finding a home with the NFL next season. Jets coach Rex Ryan took responsibility for his lackluster year to ESPN:
“We really didn’t take advantage, in my opinion, of his skill set,It’s nobody’s fault. Ultimately, it’s my fault,” he said.
Among the line of offers for Tebow are The Omaha Beef, an indoor football team, as well as the Arena League’s Orlando Predators. He has yet to receive any offers from the NFL.
