Tina Fey, Amy Poehler React to Taylor Swift's 'Special Place in Hell' Comment

In the April issue of "Vanity Fair," teen queen country singer Taylor Swift fires back at comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for their jokes regarding her love life at this year’s Golden Globes.

“You know what Taylor Swift, you stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son,” Fey said. Poehler chimed in, saying “Or go for it. Go for it.” Then Fey jokingly protested, saying that the 23-year-old singer needed “some ‘me time’ to learn about herself.”

Swift expressed her discontent with Fey and Poehler’s banter at her expense by quoting a saying given to her by Katie Couric: “There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women."

The wildly popular country singer is known for referring to her personal music. She has been linked to the likes of singer John Mayer, Conor Kennedy, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas and One Direction’s Harry Styles, but ensures that she has only dated two men in the last three years. She told Vanity Fair:

"For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that's taking something that potentially should be celebrated - a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way - that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist."

Poehler, who got wind of Swift’s recent comments, responded with a quote to The Hollywood Reporter and Fey responded to ET.

“Aw, I feel bad if she was upset,” she said. I am a feminist and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff.”

"If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron," Tina Fey, 42, told ET. "I did not see that one coming. It was a joke. It was a lighthearted joke."
