Tom Cruise Swatted: Actor Victim of Prank

Tom Cruise was the victim of a pretty serious prank this week - the actor was "swatted," but not exactly how you think.

Cruise's Beverly Hills home was surrounded by police Thursday after a phony 911 call claiming that shots were fired at the house. Tom Cruise was swatted, a prank in which someone calls in the false report in order to draw the SWAT team to the victim's house.

The LA Times reports that it's not only Tom Cruise swatted in recent months. Charlie Sheen, Miley Cyrus, Simon Cowell, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber have also been swatted.

The question is, who swatted Tom Cruise? Apparently, the LAPD arrested a 12-year-old boy last month who was responsible for several instances of swatting.

For the record, despite the fact that Tom Cruise was swatted, he was most likely not home at the time and there was no emergency at the location.
