Toni Braxton is taking on a new career. The "Unbreak My Heart" singer announced plans to focus on acting and possibly put her first love to the side. The Grammy award winning singer told TheGrio.com's Christopher Witherspoon that she is considering retiring from the music industry.

"For what I do, being a performer, I have to love it, I have to feel that excitement and it's gone, I don't know where it went," said Toni during the interview. “I’m just not going to do any albums anymore; maybe touring occasionally here and there because I love performing, but not as much as I did in the past. But no new projects," she added.

Braxton is currently promoting a new Lifetime Original Movie, Twist of Fate, where she shares the small screen with her nine-year-old son Diezel.

"We originally spoke about him playing my son in the movie but I thought it was too much for him, he would have to go to tutoring and counsel and he's autistic, high functioning but still I thought it was too much for his first endeavor," she said about her son's role in the film.

Twist of Fate airs February 9 at 8PM.
