Press play on the latest electronic dance music videos from this week:
Showtek “Booyah” (feat. We Are Loud & Sonny Wilson)
It started off wholesome enough - two brothers having breakfast before their mother sends them off to school – but it doesn’t take long before our two main characters go from bros to B-Boys. In the official music video for Showtek’s addicting concoction “Booyah,” we see our boombox brethren takes to the U.K. streets for a series of adventures as the catchy track’s melody plays in the background. Preorder it (https://itunes.apple.com/se/album/booyah-feat.-we-are-loud-sonny/id69794...).
Wankelmut & Emma Louise “My Head Is A Jungle” (MK Edit)
In his debut single, Berlin-based producer Wankelmut includes the soul-filled vocals of Emma Louise along with his house infused, piano chord melodies. The combination is both refreshing and uplifting, leaving much to be desired with this new up-and-comer. Own it.
Mat Zo “Pyramid Scheme” (feat. Chuck D.)
Want to know the secret to Mat Zo’s “Pyramid Scheme?” It’s making music anyone can dance to, even the elderly practicing the ancient art of Tai Chi. Though the video’s content matter is quite bizarre, it actually syncs in perfectly with Matt Zo’s beats and Chuck D’s vocals, establishing both as pied pipers of their craft. Own it on November 5.
Dada Life “Boing Clash Boom”
In continuing to fuel the cult of Dada, the gents put together a video featuring devoted ‘Dada Lifers’ running after a beer barrel down a steep hill even though they encounter serious risks and injuries during the process. Though its content matter may contain hidden messages of the current EDM culture (ingestation, reckless behavior, consequential aftermath), things are summed up quite nicely with a rave party in the end where past incontinences are washed away by Champagne showers.
