Girlfriends alumna Tracee Ellis Ross is giving television another shot, as she slated to star alongside Anthony Anderson in an untitled pilot for ABC.
Formerly known as Black-ish, ABC Studios, Laurence Fishburne's Cinema Gypsy and Principato Young are bringing this comedy to small screens. In it, Anthony Anderson stars as an upper-middle-class man who struggles to raise his children with some sense of cultural identity.
Despite constant contradictions and obstacles coming from his liberal wife (to be played by Ross), old-school pops, and his own "tanned" kids, the show will shot single-camera and run for a half-hour.
Written by Kenya Barris (The Game), Laurence Fishburne will round out the cast so far starring as the married couple's "back in the day" father. Previously, Ross' television gigs included roles on ABC's Private Practice and CBS's CSI.
