Train Stop Tuesday: Kurtis Blow

Music

Every Tuesday at 12, we’ll hop on Don Cornelius’ silver cho cho and watch some legends dance and do interviews. We might even find a classic Soul Train line every now and then. Get on board, people.

Back when rap and hip-hop were tiptoeing into the mainstream market, Kurtis Blow was one of the first successful rappers with his single “The Breaks” from his 1980 self-titled debut album. Blow brings down the house to a crowd all too happy to get funky.
