Rap group trio Travis Porter has joined the Jive Records roster next to mega-artists, such as Ciara, Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake.
According to HipHopWired, Ali, Quez and Strap (the owners of their own label, Porter House) inked the deal with Jive last week and, reportedly, plan to release their debut album under Porter House/Jive.
Until the deal, the Atlanta-based crew has been one of the most popular unsigned music groups.
“Jive is cool,” says TP member Quez about the new deal. “They givin' us the freedom to do what we wanna do.”
From "All The Way Turnt Up" to "Go Shorty," the no longer independent guys have found a home for their bass-heavy tracks.
There is no release date set for their debut LP. --Niki McGloster
