Reconciliation for hip-hop greats Naughty by Nature seems to be out of the question at the moment, after Treach appeared on Power 105.1 the Breakfast Club Friday (May 10) morning to further disassociate himself from his longtime companion Vin Rock.

“[Its] been in the making for a while, every relationship tries to stick it through the hard times, the good times but sometimes you gotta just do your own thing,” Treach stated on the broadcast. “You know our kids is grown now, you last it out for the kids sometimes… ‘Hip hop Hooray,’ ‘OPP,’ 20 years and better.”

DJ Kay Gee, the third member of the legendary ensemble, also appeared in the interview, reluctantly claiming that he has chosen to side with Treach. The duo unveiled that “Tall Midget,” Treach’s two-minute diss track, was unleashed due to Vin Rock believing he was bigger than the team. Despite several recent performances, including an appearance at Howard University’s annual Homecoming, Treach also stated that the group hasn’t had a real conversation in over two years.
