A Tribe Called Quest is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their second album, The Low End Theory which was released in 1991. The album entered into the Time’s All Time 100 Albums List and was named the #154 album of all time by Rolling Stone. What set this particular LP aside from others even til this day was its layering of jazz samples and crowd favorites such as ‘Scenario’ and ‘Check The Rhime’

Aside from their album-versary, the group’s award winning documentary, Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest which was directed by Michael Rapport is due to be released on DVD next month. — Krystal Julius
