VIBE recently met up with Trinidad James who spilled the beans on his love high BPMs, festivals and Calvin Harris.
“I love EDM, James tells VIBE. “EDM is for the world, man, or whatever, if that makes sense.”
Will we be seeing James at the upcoming summer festivals? He certainly hopes so. “The festivals that come along with doing EDM type music is wild, like it’s your wildest imagination type of concerts, compared to doing a show in your city, which is cool and wonderful for you. But I just like world shit, you know what I’m saying? You heard of a festival called Tomorrowland? It’s amazing. I’ve never been, and I want to go. I don’t know if you can call Buku Festival an EDM festival. I don’t think I’ve been to a full-fledged EDM festival yet. Ultra is one too that I haven’t been to and I wanna go to Ultra.”
As for producers, James has already mulled over his dream collabo.“Calvin Harris, I like what he does. “Sweet Nothing” is probably the number one song in the world, to me. The whole feel of it, compared to good songs and songs for the world, or good songs for the hood, or good songs for the club, or good songs for everybody in the whole world… that’s what I feel like that song is.”
