Some called Trinidad James' recent rant about the "South running New York" a publicity stunt. Some believed the Atlanta rapper, others thought he had just popped a molly and was sweatin'. Following the backlash he received for his impromptu onstage sermon, James took to Twitter to clear the air, as much as possible.
"When you say real shit people call it a melt down," he tweeted. "That's fine. The truth will set you free...#CrazyDeacon." Now, he's taking his "the truth will set you free" tagline to a new evangelistic level, dropping what appears to be a new track by the same name.
"To Every New Yorker. On Monday "The Truth Will Set You Free" comes out. No album...Just the truth," James wrote on Saturday (Nov. 15). "You gonna want to look and listen to this. God is my witness I had to pray about this. This is what you wanted so I gave it to ya. The Real."
So moral of the story, somehow this thing has turned into a publicity stunt. Watch out for James be real come Monday, Nov. 18.
