Before Kanye West was spouting off about corporations in interviews, Tupac Shakur was addressing the government in the 90's. Almost all of Pac's interviews were spirited, leaving people with a lasting impressed of the rapper's vigor, and that's clear in this rare interview that PBS recently dug up.
The year is '94 and Pac and interviewer Ben Svetkey are sitting in a restaurant. Pac talks about not being a role model, where he sees himself in the future, being ripped off by the press ("I've never lied to the press"), and what Thug Life meant to him. He was a true visionary, and compared to the whining that Kanye does today, he was a steady, confident voice. Listen to the unreleased interview below. ---Max Weinstein
