Assassin’s Creed 3 is rumored to contain 60 extra minutes content exclusively on PS3, according to Amazon UK. During E3 2012, Sony announced during its press conference the PS3 version of the game would contain DLC not available on PC or Xbox 360. A letter was equally addressed to Game Stop employees which revealed that the Ubisoft team is working on “post launch episodic content” that will “set the bar for quality DLC in our industry.” The note indicated that a “complementary development team” will be working on the project, and emphasized the fact that fans who pre-order the game with the Season Pass deal will be getting the content for a better value.

Don’t worry, for those who aren’t looking to spend the bread for the Season Pass, gamers will be able to get other DLC that will be exclusive to PlayStation 3 players. The expansion for the PlayStation 3 edition of Assassin’s Creed 3 will come with the game upon its release date. Since the box art says it includes an hour of “exclusive gameplay,” it seems that there is just more than one way to skin a cat—or in this case a Brit. Assassin’s Creed 3 takes place during the American Revolution and will follow protagonist Connor throughout America’s fight for independence.

Funnily enough, Ubisoft imaginatively revealed more clues about the third installment of the game through some cryptic messages on Twitter that seemed to pertain to the game. If you haven’t seen the trailer for the game yet, you can see it for yourself below:

Assassin’s Creed 3 will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 30, 2012.
