Willow Smith is breaking out the big guns for her debut album. Jay-Z is definitely on board. Of course, her parents wouldn't have it any other way!
Via Pop Eater: Some musicians might be intimidated to have Jay-Z as a boss in the recording studio, but not Willow Smith. The 'Whip My Hair' singer says the big-time rapper is helping her on her debut album.
"Whenever I have a creative block, he's always like, 'Do what artists do when they have a block. Make a song about it,'" Smith told Kiss FM (via Digital Spy).
She added that the 'Empire State of Mind' rapper is more like a creative mentor to her than a boss.
Smith also dished about her exciting run-in with Lady Gaga at the Grammys earlier this year. She has mentioned the 'Born This Way' singer as a source of inspiration.
"We were talking about my outfit and her shoulders. She's awesome," Smith said. Gaga has mentioned her admiration of Smith's music as well.
Smith's debut album is set to be released this summer. Check out her recently released video for '21st Century Girl' below!
