Another one bites the dust. NYC rapper Uncle Murda dropped his own response to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse, repping the East Coast over a horn-heavy beat.

In his response, the former Roc-A-Fella rapper gives props to K-Dot for lighting a fire in the rap game. Murda calls Kendrick’s “Control” verse “exactly what the game needed.” He charges that nowadays in hip-hop “everybody wants to be homeboys,” but that “rap is competition” and that it’s time that everybody “start competing.”

Murda goes in on 2Chainz, Dr. Dre, and give his thoughts on Ma$e’s recent comeback. “First 50, now Drake tryna bring Ma$e back, but P. Diddy want to get paid/He ain’t letting niggas eat of a nigga he made,” Murda raps.
