Usher will be sliding back to the stage for this year's MTV Video Music Awards. He joins a line-up of performers that include pop sweetheart Ariana Grande and Australian pop-punk band, 5 Seconds of Summer.
"Performing live is the purest form of musical expressing and I am damn happy to return to the VMA stage with new music," he told MTV in a press release.
This will be Ursha's first VMA performance in three years. In 2004, The Voice coach performed his guilty conscience anthem,"Confessions" and the Lil Jon-assisted,"Yeah." Six years later, the eight-time Grammy Award winner performed the dancefloor favs "OMG" and "DJ Got Us Falling In Love."
The 2014 VMAs will invade The Forum in Inglewood, Calif, on Sunday, August 24 at 9pm ET.
