VIBE’s daily dose of dance music

Jay-Z – Tom Ford (DJ Cable Edit)
Let the “Tom Ford” remixes loose…we called it. DJ Cable is one of the first to hit Jay’s “Tom Ford” track for Slit Jockey records, and so far it’s one of the best. The UK producer slices and dices Timbaland’s original beat into a fast-paced, grimy bass track available for free download.

Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont ft. Malin – Safe With You
British producer Alex Metric is known for his melodic creations, focusing less on how heavy the drop is and more about the groove and feel of the song. In “Safe With You,” Metric teams up with Grammy-winning musician Jacques Lu Cont to serve up a perfect summer track. Malin’s vocals are the cherry on top to this great song.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs & Eats Everything – Lion, the Lion
Two respected acts in dance music, TEED and Eats Everything, join forces to drop a monster collab on Crosstown Rebels. “Lion, the Lion” is a ferocious dance floor destroyer, with a unique mixture of ravey rave meets deeper house. Available for purchase today, this collaboration is a must-have.

Jackson and His Computerband – Glow
Out of mind and out of sight are the two phrases that best describe the newest tunes to come out of the mind of Jackson and His Computerband. Jackson Fourgeaud deserves all the credit due to his revolutionary music styling and sound. His sophomore album, Glow (out September 3 via Warp Records), possesses a melody unlike any other; a beautiful orchestration of synth-infused melodies and well-placed drum claps that provides a much-needed fresh sound in the electronic music genre that has been missing since Daft Punk’s Homework album.
