V Exclusive! Cassie Jokes About French Montana Giving Her "Street Cred"

After ripping runways throughout the world and captivating viewers as a video vixen, Cassie has finally made her long-awaited returned to music. Though she still dabbles in it all, the 24-year-old beauty is as music-enthused as ever.

In a recent interview, the singer/model talked to VIBE about what it was like on set of French Montana’s "Shot Caller" video.

"We were in Miami and I didn’t really know—I just knew that my name was in the record so I wasn’t really sure what I was gonna do when I got there, but it was fun," she told VIBE. "I’ve never been in a rap video like that and I was like 'Hey, this is like my street cred maybe [Laughs]. "I’m a fan of French and the guys are hilarious.”

Cassie also revealed who she's listening to at the moment, including Goyte’s "Somebody That I Used to Know." "It’s a really cool song," she said. "But that’s what I’ve been listening to— the Drive Soundtrack, the Trap, all those kind of different things."

The stunning songstress also praised labelmate, Machine Gun Kelly, who she says is like a brother. "His live show is insane and he’s super talented and he’s really excited to be an artist which is really inspiring actually."
