V Exclusive: Flo-Rida Says Beyonce's Portrayal of Etta James Inspired His Single
Top-40 hip-hop mainstay, Flo-Rida, spoke to VIBE on the red carpet for the 2011 VMA Awards.
Carol City's hitmaker revealed that Beyonce's portrayal of Etta James in the move Caddilac Records was his main inspiration behind sampling the classic soul singer on his new Dr. Luke-produced single "Good Feeling."
"Being inspired, going to watch the movie Cadillac Records gave me some insight on Etta James. Beyonce doing an amazing job," Florida told VIBE. "That's really how I became familiar with [her]."
