VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod

1. Alicia Keys (feat. Maxwell) – “Fire We Make”
This song is the result when two soul artists come together to truly reminds you of why their genre is called “rhythm and blues.” Together, their voices are like fire and wood—giving off warmth when combined. The song is amazingly sensual, granted in a non-surprising way if you’re familiar with their past solo work. Overall though, “Fire We Make” is a duet that was bound to happen, and the final result is just what we wanted & more.

2. Wiz Khalifa (feat. Juicy J) – “Gone”
Khalifa & Juicy prove that great studio chemistry results in an impressive turnout of material. Simply put, these two seem to work well together, and it shows all over this track.

3. Eve – “Quiet Storm Freestyle”
While Eve may not have done it better than the Queen Bee that originally murdered this hip-hop classic, she definitely didn’t disappoint us in the least bit. The only problem we have with this is the length. A minute and a half in the booth seems like a waste.

4. Sound FX – “Slumber Party”
From the well-placed Biggie sample, to the beat that seems to come from a trippy planet in outer space, this is a cool track to vibe to. We’re feeling this one.

5. Sasha Go Hard – “No Time”
This is the first leak off Sasha’s upcoming mixtape, Round 3. Look for that in early 2013.
