VIBE's Daily Additions to the 'Pod
1. Fabolous – "So NY"
Fab's back, and reppin' hard for our city. Rapping over a solid beat—and chanting a chorus that could erupt a territorial rap battle ("I'm so New York, Weezy [Lil Wayne] probably don't like me")—Fab is definitely not disappointing with his latest effort. Expect this to blast on NYC radio airwaves heavy.
2. The Weeknd – "Wicked Games (Remastered Version)"
On the reworked version of an already hauntingly smooth song, Abel doesn't change too much. However, the slight changes in the beat are apparent. If you liked the House Of Balloons version, this one doesn't stray too far away from your original tastes.
3. Christina Aguilera – "Your Body"
Xtina delivers a Top 40 friendly pop tune—nothing too "dirrrty" or electronic. It's catchy & fun, but we think the accompanying music video will determine for sure whether "Your Body" is worth a replay or better left outside for recycling.
4. Skyzoo (feat. DJ Prince) – "Give It Up"
Sky once again takes an ill beat and goes off on it. If you haven't been put on to this dude's greatness, take a listen and get very familiar.
5. Naledge (feat. Highlife) – "Cruisin"
The slowed down SWV sample is definitely put to good use here. Aside from that dope little detail on the production side, the verses are hot as well—which isn't surprising coming from Naledge.
