VIBE's Daily Additions To The 'Pod.
1. KELLY ROWLAND "TAKE IT ALL"
We got a little taste of the old Kelly with the Lil Wayne assisted "Motivation" a couple days ago, but she hit us again with more of the Europop-R&B she's been doing in recent times. Not bad as far as the genre is concerned, but the sound is starting to get played out.
2. JADAKISS FEAT. AKON/MURDAMOOK/SHELLA "FREAKY"
Akon is on my "Hit List" as far as singers are concerned, but the track isnt bad. Jada's flow is on point as usual.
3. DJ PHARRIS FEAT. R KELLY/FABOLOUS/FAT JOE/BUSTA RHYMES "THE MONEY"
A re-do of a song of the same name that leaked about 2 years ago. This version is 10x better than the original, club track for sure.
4. PUSHA T "COOK IT DOWN"
A smooth-type track from Ye's current signee.
5. TIMBALAND FEAT. BRANDY "WHATEVER YOU LIKE"
Timbo is definitely a dope producer, but the "i-just-woke-up" sounding intro's and shoutouts on these Timbaland Thursday tracks are distracting and need to be left out. Brandy's flow is surpisingly not bad, but it's still weird considering her a "rapper' now.
6. PHAROAHE MONCH FEAT. STYLES P/PHONTE
The beat is niiice with an equal flow to go with it from both pharoahe and styles, almost like "soulful hip hop."
