VIBE's Daily Additions to the 'Pod
1. Lady Gaga & DJ White Shadow - "Cake Like Gaga"
Yes, ladies & gentleman—that's Lady Gaga making trap music. Not only that, but her "rap swag" is apparently on a million—make that 25 mill (shoutout to her followers). Her cadence is reminiscent of Kreayshawn, but it doesn't seem like she's taking herself too seriously. Overall, we're assuming the Mother Monster either laughed through this entire recording process, or she's been hanging in the studio with Kendrick Lamar a little too long.
2. Young Jeezy – "Bands A Make Her Dance (Freestyle)"
Jeezy rolls through this current "go-to beat" for freestyles to remind us that he's still got some bars left in him, regardless of his new VP position at Atlantic. He definitely comes with some heat, even a little hint of anger in his voice. The verse is super boastful, but given the original song, he isn't too far out of place.
3. Freddie Gibbs (fea.t Krayzie Bone & SpaceGhostPurrp) – "Kush Cloud"
This is Freddie Gibbs at his most comfortable: rapping about ganja. Lucky for us, that's not all that "Kush Cloud" has to offer. Dope production, ill verses, and clever wordplay are all included.
4. Lil Fame & Termanology – "Too Tough For TV"
When it comes to Term, you already know that he's drop something you can feel good blaring through your speakers. Take a listen to this and see what we mean.
5. Brian Culbertson (feat. Stokley Williams) - "No Limits"
If you're a fan of R&B circa 2000 - 2002, feel free to abuse the heck out of the play button on this one. We just wish more R&B records sounded like this in 2012.
