VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod

1. Snoop Dogg – “La La La”
Snoop is really taking this reggae-green shit to the head—no pun intended. It’s a pretty cool tune though, or should we say “chune.”

2. Smoke (feat. T-Pain & Trae The Truth) – “I Ain’t Hidin'”
Field Mob’s Smoke gives us a ATL street joint. Not bad, but nothing that you haven’t heard before from similar artists.

3. Ester Dean – “Invincible”
On this solo version of the Machine Gun Kelly-assisted original, Ester proves once again that there’s a voice to go along with the pen game. The industry’s songwriting best-kept-secret needs to showcase her talents on a public scale more—we like this chick’s tone.

4. Diggy – “Burn (Freestyle)”
Diggy constantly amazes us with his ever-growing skills on the mic. This is the same young Diggington from Run’s House! If he keeps flowing like this, we can’t wait to see where he takes his career. Consider us down with the “jetsetters.”

5. Gangsta Boo (feat. 8Ball & Maino) – “Pillow Talk”
Gangsta Boo (funniest rap aka ever—but we digress) gives us the rules on “pillow talking” with groupies who’ll spread your biz in the streets with the quickness. This track kind of has that “laid-back, riding through the hood” vibe going on, but her voice on the chorus is slightly….straining on the ears. Don’t expect this to propel her to Minaj status, but it accomplishes the hood anthem goal it was striving for.
