V Style: Camper Goes Classy

Camper isn’t necessarily a name that evokes high style, but the footwear label is kicking that notion to the curb with its latest designer collaborations called “Camper Together.” Inviting renowned designers Veronique Branquinho, Jaime Hayon, and Bernhard Willhem to lend their creative brilliance to the Camper label and create a limited edition set, the results were worthy of the Spanish brand that can trace its history back to 1877.

We were most impressed by Branquinho’s designs, which feature three variations of the traditional derby shoe. The Belgian designer updated the look by narrowing the body and keeping the shoe as minimal as possible. The all-leather derby with the soft, foldable mule heel will be a welcome wardrobe addition once summer makes its way back around. That said, you’ll have to wait until February 2010 for these to be released. –Adrien Field
