If you've got pockets full of gold, you might want to consider giving some to Hearts of Gold, a charity that improves the lives of homeless mothers and their children.
The non-profit organization has partnered up with men's luxury neckwear company RVR in preparation for this year's annual fund-raising gala to create a limited edition set of ties and a pocket square to benefit the cause.
The two tie styles customized with a Hearts of Gold seal on the inside will sell for $185, while the yellow and blue pocket square will cost $75. RVR's silk pieces will debut at Hearts of Gold's 13th Annual Fall Fundraising Gala, "It's A Love Thing," next Thursday (Nov. 12) at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York. CNN's Soledad O'Brien along with Law and Order star Tamara Tunie will preside over the event as co-mistresses of ceremonies.
Proceeds from the sales of the ties, pocket squares, and the gala event will be used to support approximately 900 mothers and children in residence annually at three Manhattan shelters. --Adrien Field
