Martin Margiela just quietly left the Maison Margiela he created over twenty years ago, but that doesn't mean that the house has crumbled. The ultra-discreet label is still churning out new projects--one of its latest being with R.E.M. lead singer Michael Stipe.
Following a collage preview had been released last month, Margiela has released an accompanying teaser video as well, showing the silver microcassettes reminiscent of '80s answering machines in various forms and function.
The collection of Michael Stipe cassettes will be limited to only 199 pieces and sold in Margiela stores beginning sometime in December. --Adrien Field
