VIBE Fashion Files: Trendsetter Janelle Monae Joins Nokia Music Launch Event at Club Nokia

To showcase its recently released new mobile music streaming app, Nokia Music, Nokia joined with Social Media Week to host an exclusive concert by Grammy-nominated artist Janelle Monáe at Nokia L.A. Live this past week.The stylish Covergirl transformed both the stage and the red carpet by staying true to her slick androgynous look. Accompanied by Big Boi, Tristan Wilds, Liberty Ross and a host of fans, Monae and Big Boi tore the house down with their old school tunes and funky band stand!

Fueled by Social Media Week’s theme of Empowering Change through Collaboration, attendees secured seats by contributing to a virtual playlist of their favorite songs from the Nokia Music App. DJ XYZ started the night off by spinning the audience inspired playlist.
