Every week leading up to Electric Zoo 2012, VIBE will introduce you to a banger-producing-party-inducing DJ that will make Randalls Island shake like a polaroid picture on speed come Labor Day Weekend. Last week, Laidback Luke, was on the decks. Next up is Flux Pavilion...
British dubstep producer Flux Pavilion (born Joshua Steele) epitomizes the term “boy wonder” when it comes to orchestrating electronic music. At age 23, he’s co-founder of Circus Records (with Doctor P, DJ Swan-E and Earl Falconer), and his music has been sampled by the likes of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s super collaboration album last winter—Watch the Throne. Flux dropped “Daydreamer” in May 2012, featuring the heart-wrenching voice of Example. The “play on repeat” single is fully loaded with melodious measures and quick snare beats that hit the ear’s g-spot.
Check out VIBE’s exclusive Q&A with Flux Pavilion as he gets ready to hit NYC Labor Day weekend for Electric Zoo 2012…
