K-Pop megastar, PSY, to no one's surprise, performed his international smash at the 2012 American Music Awards. But that's not all he did. More after the break.
The "Gangnam Style" creator had a special trick up his sleeve, as midway through the performance he welcomed the one, the only MC Hammer onstage. The pair performed a mash-up of "Gangnam" and the '90s rap star's stellar commercial hit "2 Legit 2 Quit," much to the chagrin of fans and audience members alike.
As the two danced vigorously alongside a troupe of horse dancing dancers, the two worlds collided and many in the audience were ecstatic over the duo's pairing. The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles exploded with applause, which you can see for yourself below:
The 40th annual American Music Awards also featured performances by Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Usher, No Doubt, Pitbull and Linkin Park, among others. Justin Bieber, who performed "As Long As You Love Me" and "Beauty and a Beat," took home the Artist of the Year trophy.
