If you haven't yet got your fill of all things Batman, then this post is just for you!
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has let go another new clip from the upcoming Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 DVD, and you can watch it for yourself below. The film will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital platforms on September 25.
Adapting the legendary Frank Miller's four-issue comic book limited series, The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 finds Bruce Wayne a decade removed from crime-fighting, following most of the other superheroes who had been forced into retirement. Now, on the other side of life's golden age, a restless and agitated Bruce Wayne pacifies his growing frustrations with race cars and liquor, but those things are not enough to quell the beckoning calls from the Bat.
Gotham City begins to fall prey to gangs of barbaric criminals known as The Mutants, and once again, The Dark Knight must step up to the challenge and defend his city from being enveloped in darkness. In the clip, which you can see below, The Mutants' leader gives his televised declaration of war on Gotham City, Commissioner Gordon and Batman.
Peter Weller (Robocop) is providing the voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne, and is joined by Gary Anthony Williams (Malcolm in the Middle, Boston Legal) as The Mutant Leader, David Selby as Commissioner Gordon, Ariel Winter as Robin, Wade Williams as Two-Face and Michael McKean as Dr. Bartholomew Wolper. The film is directed by Jay Oliva, written by Bob Goodman and executive produced by Sam Register and Bruce Timm.
