Is Vince Staples going Hollywood on 'em over at Def Jam? The Cali spitter tweeted out the tracklist to Shyne Coldchain II, which he said would drop before he started touring. The project looks to feature Jhene Aiko and James Fauntleroy with production from No I.D., Evidence & DJ Babu, Childish Major, and Scoop DeVille. None of his previous collaborators seem to be present, like Michael Uzowuru and Snub Nose Frank. Guess he really is trying to be "progressive." Notice that it's also got the Blacksmith logo on it, which is Talib Kweli's label and harbors artists like Strong Arm Steady, Jean Grae and Idle Warship.
No word yet on when this project is set to drop, but it looks like it could be any day now. -- Max Weinstein
