Florida rapper Waka Flocka Flame has been arrested and is currently being held at Houston County Jail.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 23-year-old rapper was detained yesterday for a probation violation involving possession of a sawed-off shotgun. Further details regarding the arrest has not yet surfaced.

The incident comes just one day after the rapper shot the remix video to “O Let’s Do It” featuring Rick Ross and Diddy.

For the past year, Waka Flocka, real name Juaquin James Malphurs, has been the centerpiece of controversy. In January, he was robbed at gunpoint at a car wash in Atlanta. He sustained a gunshot wound to his right arm. The bullet punctured his lungs and ribs.

“Somebody was sent to kill me,” the rapper told Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9 following the incident.

On March 4, the rapper got into an altercation in a downtown Atlanta clothing store. The next day, eight teens were shot outside one of Waka’s shows in Indiana. –Linda Hobbs
