Waka Flocka Wants Tyler, the Creator To Direct His Next Video

In an interview with Interview, southern-rapper, Waka Flocka Flame revealed his desire for an Odd-Future directed music video done by the group’s frontman, Tyler the Creator.

According to Rap-Up, during their phone conversation for the publication, Waka Flocka expressed his fascination with Tyler’s self-directorial video for his single “Yonkers”, which has been nominated for two VMAs, including Video of the Year.

 “I’m gonna get ya’ll to direct one of my viral videos, man. It’ll be Odd Future-directed,” Waka Flocka stated.

The 20 year old Tyler, whose directorial skills haves also been backed by Kanye West, who dubbed it the best video of 2011, was nonetheless than pleased with the honor to direct the Grove Street gremlin’s next project:

“Heck yeah, ‘Karma’—we listen to that before every single show ’cause it just pumps us up. LeBron Flocka James Pt. 2 is also, like, one of my favorite fuckin’ mixtapes, so I’m a big fuckin’ fan,” Tyler stated with added admiration of Waka Flocka’s artistry.
