Wale was in his element last night giving fellow hip hop artists and industry tastemakers a preview to his sophomore album Ambition.
The event took place at the Gansevoort Hotel in New York and DJ Envy manned the turntables for the celebration. Rappers Jim Jones, Fabolous, J. Cole and MMG labelmate Meek Millz were all in the building for the release party, while media veterans Angie Martinez and Miss Info were also in attendance.
After sharing the background stories to his album, the DMV-native reportedly spent the evening making his way around the room returning the love to his supporters.
With Ambition, "Wale gives us great lyrics and head nodding tunes," said StupidDope.com, who was in attendance last night.
Most recently, Wale shot a video for his single "Lotus Flower Bomb" featuring Miguel, which has been receiving favorable reviews. "That Way" featuring Jeremih and Rick Ross currently sits at number four on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.
The album will also have a bundle of features from Big Sean, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, and others. This will be his debut album on Maybach Music Group, which he signed to in February.
Ambition hits stores November 1st.
